SPIC COTTAGE @ TANJUNG SEPAT : A GREAT FAMILY BONDING PLACE - STAY SPIC TO SPEAK !

SPIC COTTAGE TANJUNG SEPAT

Undeniably, Tanjung sepat us famous with its fishing village and sand beaches. People usually flock into this small town to experience the authentic fishing village or a series of beach activities.

However, do you know on the other side of Tanjung Sepat, there is a resort quietly established within a palm oil estate ?

This resort is called SPIC COTTAGE RESORT. It's neither close to sand beaches nor fishing village. This cottage resort is nestled in the centre of a palm oil estate. It's rather low profile, yet its unique exterior with the bricky concept outshine the entire dull palm oil estate atmosphere.

SPIC COTTAGE resort is beautifully built on a 10 acres land and its featured with vegetable farm, animal farm and fabulous guest villas.

It's approximately 10km away from Tanjung sepat downtown, and it's remotely built up in a quiet palm oil areas. While driving along the inner road, you would never expect that there is such a unique and beautiful resort appearing out of nowhere.

Spic cottage exterior design is using a English style concept. They're using a bare brick wall and thus, they look so classically awesome. It's alike a Harry Potter castle by watching from far.

The guest won't feel idle while staying in as there are many in house activities. This resort is attached with a animal farm. So you won't be surprised that the smell of the animal dung will be sensed whenever it's gusted up by wind.

The villas can accomodate a large group of friends and families. As such, if you're coming with a big family, this will be the right pick for you.

Front Yard : There is a small pond in front of the Spic Cottage. Some benches and stone tables are set up besides the pond for a chill out and relaxing.

Compound :

a. The entire spic cottage is fenced up by a classic sharp frame gates. Before entering to the compound of the villas, there is a sliding door with a sharp gate design guarding the whole place. This kind of sharp frame gates is similar to the one used in a old castle.

b. Bali Paradise villa is built up at the most front section.

c. The heart of the resort is a multipurpose Hall with a table tennis.

d. Lakeside villas is at the rear side.

e. The animal farm is alongside the entire report. Free range goats and cows are

f. The vegetable farm occupies the bigger chunk of the land at the entire left side of the resort.

g. The guest can freely walkaround in the resort and free entrace to the animal and vegetable farm.

There are many photo shooting spots within the resort. As the SPIC COTTAGE is mostly adopting the earth tone colours, a colourful dress will really stand out in a photo shooting.

The animal farm at the back yard is allowed for entering. The guest can go as close as possible to all the farm animals like cow, goats, rooster and etc. The guest can even experience feeding or milking to cow if there is right timing

During our visit, we've booked a night at Bali Paradise Villa.

The layout is very unique.

The entire villa consists of :

1. A side yard with a BBQ Pit and spacious walk way

2. The front yard is an open concept Chit Chat area. There is a common TV fixed at the wall.

3. The middle of our villa is a very long walkway. There are also stone tables and chairs for get together. The walkway is installed with various dim lights.

4. There are 3 rooms

Room 1 : the 1st room near to entrance ( 1 King bed with attached bathroom)

Room 2 : 1 Queen bed with extended corner of a kitchen & bathroom. The kitchen is complete with utensils and cooking equipment

Room 3: Four Bunk Bed with attached bathroom.

All the rooms are fully air-conditioned.

Postive Comments : The Villas is very clean and well maintained. The design is truly impressive. It's like a castle 🏰 shape and spaciously occupies on a very fertile land. The layout is very suitable for a big group and family. There are many seating corners for Chit Chatting.

I do like their open concept at the walkway of the villas. This allows the guest to be exposed to fresh air instead of confined in a stuffy rooms

The animal farm is literally linked to our villa. So the kids can just walk across if they feel like watching or getting in touch with them.

I find SPIC COTTAGE is truly a natural place for a family outing and unwind. It's a place where all the family members can find a great bonding with a lot of memorable times.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Instead if intercom for assistance, they're using walkie talkie. Any assistance, we need to communicate using walkie talkie.

Negative: There are many cats within the compound. Do not place your foods at the open concept areas. The cat might sneak in and grab the foods which resulting a mess.

During our stay, the WiFi wasn't working and hair dyer wasn't available.

The owner should place more stand fans at the walkway of the villa. Otherwise, it could be quite warm in the sunny afternoon.

A lot of 🦟 mosquitoes. Pls papered your repellent when you're coming here.

The common TV 📺 wasn't working during our stay.

We truly had a great time staying in SPIC despite having some incompete facilities as mentioned.

Most importantly, we spend time with our loved ones, heart to heart talk in a quiet palm oil estate. How often we talk to our family members? Do we really have time to listen to them? Coming home too late due to working overtime? Kids obsessed to digital tablets ? Lack of understanding and resulting conflict?
