Further up from Kuantan town & about 30km away, there is also a place famously known as beach paradise. This place is called Cherating.

One of the most renowned staycation resort is nestled within this town. It's an international star rated resort called Club Med. Believe that many of us have heard about this. This resort provides full board of activities during your entire stay and the bottomless cocktails drinks are one of the highlight.

We are not sharing about Club Med in this write up but we are introducing another 5 star luxurious resort with distinctive design and interior.

This resort is named THE KASTURI RESORT.

We are truly impressed by its gorgeous building architecture. The most signature one is this resort beautifully built at a beachfront. From the balcony of the resort, it allows a holistic ocean view and paranomic sea horizon.

Upon arrival, guest is required to register at the guard House. Subsequently, they need to proceed to the lobby and manage the check in procedure. A very refreshing welcome drink is rendered and as an appreciation of your stay too.

Thence, there will be a buggy transferring the passengers and luggages to the designated unit. Before reaching out to your unit of stay, the buggy has to drive through a small pathway alongside the forest. All the respective units with different layout are set up in every private corner with a turning in junction. Full of privacy.

Our unit is situated at the last junction and also the same block with main building of restaurant and cafe. This is also the place where the breakfast is served.

The crew led us to our room and guided us with the in-room facilities, and thereafter a welcome fruit basket was delivered to our room for a warm greeting. A thank you letter was enclosed too. Their welcome greeting was really awesome.

Our unit is at rooftop. The 3rd floor of the building. Generally, we are the highest level and our balcony with a sliding door is in a long shape covering the entire front view. This rooftop is essentially a combine of 2 units. So it's really spacious.

There are 2 sofa lounge and 2 dining tables. 2 guest toilets and 2 bedroom

The most stunning one is the ocean view right in front of us. Our unit is almost the same level with sea horizon. When the sliding door is wide open, the sea breeze is blowing in and we can feel the cool wind contains salted sea nutriens gently massaging our face.

There're 2 leaning chairs outside the balcony. Sitting down there anytime to enjoy diffrent background scenes from the ocean. Sun rise at the dawn with colourful pinkish clouds, afternoon with the bold and toned sea horizon, night time will be the star-lit sky and the whispering of the wavy sea.

I would say The Kasturi Resort is the perfect staycation to choose from when you're in chearting.

Breakfast is not so variety but the foods quality is guaranteed. Service is tip top too. The restaurant crews patiently took down the order of our drinks and type of eggs with diffrent cooking style. Despite having a lot of customization, their patience is truly impressive!

1. Public Swimming Pool

The public swimming pool is set up right in front of the resort and side to side to the sea. While using the pool facility, you can rest the arm on the pool edge and overseeing the beautiful ocean and bubbly waves.

2. Bicycle

Bicycles are available for the guest to cycle around the resort compound. Along the pathway, if you're lucky enough, you may spot some unique species of birds. We were so fortunate to bump into a couple of hornbill.

3. Walkabout and the seaside

The sea in front of the resort is not swimable but the coastline is indeed very relaxing for a stroll and enjoy the cool breeze.

4. Yoga

There is a complimentary yoga class provided by the resort. Only 1 session per day and it's only available at 8am. Pre-booking is requires.

5. Chess / Board Games

Board game is available for booking. It's FOC

6. Seaside Benches

Many benches set up alongside the beach area. It's indeed relaxing to sit down on the beach and hearing to the sound of the waives.

7. Gymnasium

Gynamsium facility is available for in house guest use. It's FOC

The overall experience of staying with The Kasturi is fantastic. We will surely return for 2nd time. This is a perfect beach front staycation for a family and a perfect couple. 5 star rated facilities accompanied by the mother ocean will leave you a remarkable retreat.
