MEREN MELON FARM - SWEET HARVEST

Meren Melon Farm will launch a harvesting program seasonally every year to let all local people to have a chance to harvest their Melon 🍈.

By paying an entry fees, you will be granted access to thier melon Farm and harvest 1 of your most favourite melon among few thousands of those.

Their melon farm visitation hours has been scheduled into few slots. So that it can prevent the situation of over-crowded. Pre-booking is needed to avoid disappointment.

The melon farm visitation includes :-

1. Guided tour

2. Complimentary Ice Cream

3. Complimentary packet drinks

4. Harvest 1 piece of sweet melon 🍈

This melon farm is located near to a palm oil estate. It's about 1 and half hour drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre.

We'd opted the slot of 11am - 12pm to include any delay due to contingency.

Upon our arrival which was about 20 mins ahead the the time, we'd been warmly greeted by the hospitable service Crew and we were seated under a tent while waiting for our slot. Ice cream and refreshing drinks were served to cool us down under a hot sun.

We will be called and gathered when it was the time for out visitation slot.

Out tour guide James has explained the melon 🍈 planting process and some knowledge about the melon. He has also given us so guide on how to harvest the melon.

Some tips about the Melon 🍈:

This meren farm is using the Japanese technology to cultivate melon fruits which is similar to the one in Japan.

Price is cheaper than the melon imported fork Japan since they're harvested locally here.

Each plant will only have ONE melon to ensure the quality of the melon. They will sacrifice the extras to make sure the remaining one will gain the most nutriens.

How to identify the ripe melons?

If the top part has the most pattern of stripes, means it's time to be harvested.

We were given a basket 🧺 and a cutter. We were led to the melon farm and allowed to pick one of our most favourite melon. Just one, so we need to observe and choose one out of the thousand hehe !

After harvesting, the meren farm will help us to packet it nicely and we can bring home with satisfaction.

Do contact the owner if you're keen to experience the melon harvesting. It's seasonal event. There are only 2 or 3 times harvesting within a year. Do follow up their FB for any latest updates.
