Muar Johore is always my first choice of destination for cuti-cuti Malaysia. The best local taste is summoning all the Malaysian from nationwide, the scent of Otak has always been imprinted in all locals memory.
This small town is enriched with all the local and cultural delights. It's still perfectly inheriting all the generational beauties and well reserved with the historical footprints.
Muar town is also well known as a godly land. It abounds with all the resources such as fishing and agricultural industries. Due to the strategic territory, muar town has prospered into a vibrant and fast growing township.

6. Kedai Kopi Heng Mui
A very localised Coffee Shop serving some classic local breakfast. A toast, a cup of coffee, a pack of nasi lemak and a pack of Fried Bihun are simply the best! We can't turn back time , but we can enjoy the playback of our memory through this old timer taste today.

7. Kedai Roti Gee Shan
Traditional Bread Factory. The soft and fluffy bread comes with full trails of generational history. You're tasting not only the bread but their family journey from the past.
8. Otak Otak Char Kuey Teow
You will never believe Otak Fried Kuey Teow can be as good as Cockerel and prawns one. This modest charge key Teow stall has been quietly situated in one of the food court called Medan Selera 333.
The master chef is a friendly senior guy with his trademark of a white cooking hat. He is very focused in stir frying kuey teow and make sure every plate of serving is within his best control and quality.

Direction : The museum and archaic Street is along the backlane behind the Daily Otak Otak shop. Once you locate the daily otak otak stall, just walk to the back street.

7. Nine emperor festival
Pray for peace and pray for harmony. God power is everything. The nine emperor festival is held one year once. The most godly event in Muar. When the civilians putting aside the scientific theory and connecting their souls with god just to ask for god mercy and blessing. It's one of the most stunning praying ceremony from lunar calendar 1st to 9th September.
