Nestled in the tranquil town of Kuala Kubu Bahru, Gaharu Campsite & Resort is a modest and unassuming homestay, located just a 10-minute drive from the town center. While the resort isn’t grand or luxurious, it offers a peaceful and comfortable retreat, perfect for those looking to escape the city’s hustle and bustle.

Though the compound isn’t large, it features a small pond, a few petting animals, and the highlight of the stay – the Gaharu Wellness Walk. If you're not expecting top-tier accommodations, this resort provides a relaxing, no-frills getaway with basic yet clean and cozy amenities.

Here’s a breakdown of the facilities

1. Chalet & Campsite

We stayed in a chalet, which is part of a small row of units. Outside, there’s a communal sitting area where you can relax, sip tea, and take in the sounds of nature and birdsong.

Campsite ：-

The campsite is located uphill and requires a short hike to reach. It comes equipped with bathrooms and basic utensils for a convenient stay.

2. Petting Animals

The resort has several enclosures where you can see and interact with animals like turkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, peacocks, iguanas, roosters, and more.

3. Gaharu Wellness Walk

A wellness walk takes you along a well-paved path lined with Gaharu trees. It’s particularly enjoyable for an early morning stroll, where you can breathe in the fresh air and take in the serene surroundings.

4. Common Areas

There’s a common area equipped with a TV, a tea room, and a variety of board games, making it easy to unwind or spend time with family and friends.

5. Barbecue & Cooking

Several outdoor kitchens are available near the chalets, making it convenient for guests to prepare meals or have a barbecue.

6. Breakfast & Dinner

It’s best to pre-book your meals, as the host offers delicious home-cooked dishes. Their rare fish, prepared with a special in-house recipe, is said to be a standout. Unfortunately, we were not able to opt for a meal due to our booking was a rather a last minute one.
