D' Muara Marine Park - A hidden water chalets of Sg Besar
D Muara Marine Park resort quietly nestled in a fishing village near Sg Dorani within Sg Besar District. There are not known by many people as this resort is not marketed in all the booking platform. The only booking method is via WhatsApp or Direct from the resort management.
While browsing through the resort and homestay near sg besar, this resort suddenly caught my attention with its beautiful water chalets and villas. Moreover, the chalets are facing an unblocked seaview and the place seems quite secluded within a fishing village. We decided to book a night stay and try out this charming hidden gems.
Waze will be able to lead all the way to this resort and this resort is built at the edge of the road and neighboring to a borderless plot of sand beach. In addition, all the villas are beautifully facing the mother ocean with a joint river stream at the side.
The resort is having several room types, of course th seaview chalets are the most popular and highly demanded ones. The chalets are built on a plot of a soft sand beach and stretched out to the centre of the sea. A board walk is separating both chalets from left and right and leading all the way to the last unit.
This resort is using the theme of celebrity. Each room is named after a celebrity such as Jacku chan, Stephen chow, Bruce Lee and etc. It sounds like a Hollywood movie filming place.
Let me give you a walk through of this resort.
1. Room type
There are 3 types of chalets as follow:-
-Village view
-Seaview Chalet
-Club House
A. Seaview Vs Village View
Generally, both seaview and village view chalets are also standing on the water. The only difference is the view from the veranda. One is facing seaview and another is village view. Of course, seaview facing is much more fascinating. Village view is only facing a car park and the restaurant.
B. Club house is the most basic landed house at another side of the resort. This is onshore and it's designed in a cabin style room. There several units in a row and the room is complete with basic amenities.
2. Interior of the Seaview chalet
The interior of the chalet is very spacious. The most stand-out is the ceiling height sliding door surrouding the room which is perfectly reflecting the beautiful scenery of the sea and bordeless beach. From the chalet, you feel the absolute transparency between the ocean and your sleeping bed. The view is super breathaking.
3. Veranda
All the chalets are featured with a veranda. Seaview type is facing the ocean and village view is facing a parking lots. Of course, seaview will be much attractive compared to the village view. Imagining sitting at the veranda, sipping your cup of coffee, listening to the whisper of the sea, embracing the sunshine and feeling the warmly salted sea breeze. So much comforting!
4. A small bridge
There is a bringe extended into the sea. The guest can take some instangrammable pictures here. This is also a perfect spot for star gazing.
5. Activities
A. Visiting the nearby fishing village
Simply take a walk surrouding the fishing village could be one of the coolest thing to do. Seeing the fisherman busy with their catch, departing and returning from their daily sea routine, most satisfying is returning with great harvest.
B. Digging the claim at the shore
Just right in front of the resort, there is a small plot of beach abounds with clams. During our stay, we just couldn't resist with the abundance of clams retrieved from the warm Sands. With the handy equipment like a shovel, we manged to reap almost a sleigh full of clams.
Bring the clams to the restaurant nearby and ask for cooking assistance. The flesh is guaranteed fresh and juicy !
6. Breakfast
The breakfast is included in our booking package. The breakfast is simply the best! Although it's not a big breakfast or something like a hotel buffet, it's truly a hearty localised brekfast. A few packets of very authentic Nasi Lemak + Some pastries /Kuih including a jar of syrup drinks. This is indeed a heartfelt ♥️ brekfast to kick start a wondeful day !
7. Drive out to the town nearby
Of course, you can also freely drive out to the sg besar town to experience other local attractions and foods. The downtown is just 5km away from this resort.
Last but not least, you can also have other in house activities such as BBQ, cycling or explore the mangrove nearby. But this will be on your own arrangement.
I truly love this modest water chalets resort. Simply spent a night or 2, and observing all the living things in the muddy beach, let low tide and high tide remind us the fundamental of life cycle. We need to go through low and high, up and down in order to master the ultimate life theory !
