Patrick Kuala Kubu Bahru - A beautiful Scottish villa that embraces the panaromic mountain view.
Kuala Kubu Bahru has recently become one of the top attractions to many locals. It takes only about an hour to reach to this old town full of historical footprints.
Further to my earlier blog on Kuala Kubu Bahru destinations, I would like to introduce a superb stay in this Patrick Villa. So happened, we came across this villa in Airbnb. We were so lucky enough to book a night stay despite being a peak season.
Patrick Villa is situated along Kuala Kubu Hillside area where all other resorts are located. Gearing up to this resort, you will find the holistically scenic mountain view is truly breathtaking. The picturesque rolling hill with Kuala Kubu Bahru valley appear right in front of you as if a 4D screen of natural wonder.
There is an entrance at the foothill. As this is a private hill, there is strictly no trespassing. We need to buzz the owner to grant us the entry permission. Security is tip top. But we find a little bit troublesome as we need to call the owner each time we clear the gate.
After clearing the gate entrance, it takes about 5 mins to reach out to our villa. This 5 mins journey is all the way ascending up to the villa. Upon arrival, the Patrick Villa is impressively built on a edge of the hillside. The entire villa is extended out from the cliff and overseeing the heavenly beautiful highlands ⛰️.
Words can't express how beautiful the scenery up here. The patrick villa is also classically designed in a bricky concept. With a typical triangle roof, 2 levels platform and a beautiful English Garden. Peering from far, it looks like a Alice in wonderland English Garden.
We privately owned the entire lower ground level of the villa with several sections. The layout is detailed as follow
A. The Car can be parked in front of the Patrick Villa main door 🚪. There is a designated parking space. Very convenient
B. At the side of the villa, there is a stairs going down to the lower ground level. Standing at the upper stairs, you can see the entire place downstairs including the Jaguzzi, BBQ Garden, outdoor garden and etc.
C. Our Villa is just right at the lower deck after going down the stairs.
Layout :-
A. Front section (front yard)
There is a open yard garden with BBQ pit, outdoor chairs and table, and some grown vegetables and raspberries plants. This is the perfect spot for sunset.
B. Middle Section (outbuilding)
There is a private Jaguzzi overseeing the greens and Highlands. The most impressive is the Jagguzi can be filled with hot water. The water temperature is adjustable. Moreover, there are some colourful lighting underneath tub, it's truly amazing !
C. Inside the Villa
The villa consists of 3 separate rooms.
1st room : Featured with a wide window overseeing the paranomic rolling hills. It fits 2 single bed and for 2 pax capacity.
2nd room : Featured with Full 90 degree horizontal window and enable holistic highlands view. It fits 2 single and 2 pax capacity.
3rd room : No window. It comes with 2 single bed and 4 portable mattress. It can fit up to 4 to 5 pax.

D. Inside villa (centre)
The living hall is divided into 3 sections.
1st Section : TV 📺 corner with sofa lounge. The TV is installed and subscribed with Astro Cannel
2nd Section: Chit Chat Area (with sofas and coffee table)
3rd section (centre of the living hall) : A dining table with multiple chairs.
E. Kitchen
Kitchen is at the rear side of of the villa. Complete with utensils, table top, water dispenser, cooking ware, sauces, stove, kettles, and all the essentials for cooking needs. It's very convenient if you plan to cook or prepare yotmur own delicacy.
F. Backyard
There is a other sliding glass door exiting through another side of the villa to the backyard. This backyard is facing east and a perfect spot for sunrise. This backyard is where the bathrooms are stationed. There are 2 bathrooms. TheE are the common sharing bathrooms. All rooms are no bathroom attached. So these bathrooms are shared among all rooms.
G. Activities
*Jaguzzi
*Carom
*Mahjong (Mahjong Table is available)
*BBQ Or Steamboat
*Sunrise and sunset watching
*TV with Astro
* A lot of quiet and cool Chit Chatting corner.
*Hiking (Small Hike 🚶♀️) There is a stair going downhills to watch the scenic highlands view.
I find this is a very family oriented villa. It's an perfect place for a family or a group of friends gathering. The interior of the villa is strategic and comfortable. Most importantly, it's clean and very convenient for a bigger group who prefers to prepare in house foods. With all the completeness if the kitchen ware and cooking needs, the guests don't have to worry about not having enough foods during the entire stay.
Besides, Patrick Villa is built alongside a hill and within a quiet zone. The only sound accompany is the bird chirping sound in day time and cricket buzzing sound at night time.
The air is cooling and freshly ionised by the thick tropical forest. Living by the beautiful woods and forest, I find my Lungs has been deeply cleansed for hundred times. My nostril has been infused with the scent of greens and blooming flowers.
The owner of Patrick Villa has also taken so much efforts to beautify the open yard garden with some fruits trees, vegetables, and some flower plants 🪴 🌿
Sipping your Earl Grey tea, Reading your favourite book, listening to some relaxing musics, this could be one of the Earthy Paradise in Kuala Kubu Bahru.
Alternatively, soaking into the hot tub jaguzzi, sipping a glass of Cabinet Savignon, observing the still yet charming highlands view. That's so much delighting!
The owners are very friendly too. Sally was the one escorting us upon our arrival. She patiently explained all the features of the house and some house rules to us. She was also trying her best to accomidate all our needs.
On another hand, James was the one assisting us with the check out. He was friendly and kind enough to introduce some good food spots.
We truly had a good time in Patrick Villa. Only laughter and joys were lingering in the cool air. We did Barbeque, we shared shared our lifelong story, we talked about everything in this lovely villa. It seems only the hills and the villa could witness our timeless fun and happiness.
Thank you for the wonderful experience staying in Patrick Villa. This villa reminds me that we can still have so much wonderful bonding without a cellphone.
We will surely return for 2nd time.
