BENTONG is a place where every Malaysian will surely stop over when heading to East Cost. This is a small town yet abounds with plenty of amazing local delicacies. One of the most dominant ethnic of the local community in Bentong is Guang Xi. As such, most of delicacies are inherited from Guang Xi generation. 

Bentong town is having a sizable Chinese Commnities. You can easily find a lot of traditional Chinese Coffee Shop or foods within this small town.

One of the most signature highlight is the stuffed Tofu Puff. A Traditional Recipe of Guan Xi is used to make the filling of the Tofu Puff. The key ingredients is the mixture of pork, fish, Chinese Corriander and onion. Some will incorporate some peanuts to increase the sense of chewing. 

You can easily find a restaurant selling stuffed Tofu Puff, aost every restaurant will serve this signature dish. You can buy frozen one if you wish to bring back some for your next home cooked dishes. 

Bentong town is indeed a very historical town. It gathers some of the Chinese Ancestors footprints and some colonial budding are still standing strong until today. Bentong used to be quite difficult to visit many years back as it set within the mountain areas. However, with all the advance infrastructure, it will take you only 40 mins from Kl via Karak/Genting Express highway. 

This town has been booming over the past few years and it has become one of the most popular travel destination for every Malaysian especially during Durian Season. 

Bentong is a holy place as it abounds with a lit of beautiful during Farms, fruit farms as well as rolling mountain. It's also a perfect short getaway destination for all of us who stay in Klang Valley.
