Raub is well known with its rolling hills and mother nature. Being into this town is just like putting yourself back to the most pure and basic way of living. The unpolluted air in Raub is also making this town to be widely called *Lungs cleansing* place. Simply choose a staycation in Raub town will help revive your energy and relieve all your long existence tiredness.
So happened, we came across this Rock Mountain resort. From the Agoda booking page, it seems like an ordinary guest house with some basic pool facility. We decided to spend a night here to experience the stay in this virgin town Raub.
This Rock Mountain is situated within Sg Ruan, further down from Kampung Tok Machang. Approximately 9 km from Simpalit town. It's beautifully nestled in a core of rolling hills. The view is superb and this resort is also featured with a water park facilities. Hence it's a very family oriented staycation.
Side to side to the resort, it's accompanied by a lofty rock mountain, this is also why it's named after this Mountain. This mountain is hike-able, and if you hike up to the mid hill, you can watch the entire landscape underneath your feet. The view is super breathtaking. The best part is the pathway towards uphill is all properly tarred. So the hikers won't stain up their feet or shoes with all dirty mud. It's suitable for new beginners too. Although it's rather steep, the pathway is safe to hike as it's nicely built for walking purpose.
If you're a sunset watching fans, do come during evening. The sunset scene is truly unforgettable. The sunsetting is around 6.30pm - 7.20pm
Sunrise is not viewable here as it is the other side of the hill. However, if the weather is favorable, you might see the a layer of *CARPET CLOUD* during the dawn period. Do reach up here before 7pm to witness this.
For the water park facility, I suppose it's themed as a Hawaii or Maldives sensational style. There are few pools within the resort. The main one is like a lagoon style. It's built surrouding a bar table. Though it's not as big as the sunway lagoon or other water theme park, it's so truly delectable of being able to swim in the core of this Rock Mountain.
You can rest assured that you won't be bored during the stay in this resort as it fulfils all ages preferences. While your kids are splashing in the pools, you can take a hike to the mountain. Other activities include Karaoke, BBQ , Sauna, & Restaurant.
