A Seaside with NO distance from US.

Sun bathing, cool sea breeze, splashing in the deep blue ocean... Looking for a short weekend gateway? But tired of driving for long distance? Less than 1 & half hour drive will lead you to a place surrounded by borderleas ocean view, golden brown shoreline, featured with various water spots.
Port Dickson is known as one of most popular seaside destination where all local will spend for a short trip. Along the coastline, you find plenty of eateries, star rated hotel accomodation, as well as pub and bistro. It's a fantastic place for holiday leisure or even a family outing.

1. Army Museum

Don't underestimate this Army Museum, there is
so much information to see and learn. Was truly impressed by the exhibition set up and it perfectly illustrated the entire army campsite.
The most interesting is the tunnel. This tunnel was said to be the hiding place for the communists in those days. This tunnel has recorded the living footprints of the communist and how did they stay away from the enemies by living in this small and narrow corridor. Super educational and stunning.

3. Tea time @ Tanjung Tuan Sea Side

I love sitting near to the seaside watching the wavy ocean, waiting for the sun slowly to set, sipping my cold pressed Juice, listening to the sound of the silent sea, that's how you can release your stress over a short weekend. Let the sea absorb your stress and return you with a balance soul.

Address : Restaurant inside The Regency Tanjung Tuan

4. Pasar Malam

All Malaysian favorite activities. Walk along the pasar malam at night. Despite of you're full or hungry, it seems like you will still find something to chew.

Address : Schedule As Enclosed.

5. Cape Rachado Light House

This is probably the best light house in Malaysia. You've to hike about 30 mins to reach the peak where the light house situated. The most stunning part is the light house is stationed next to a cliff. By standing on the highest point here, you can have a super holistic view of the ocean and it seems like borderless and a giant piece of oil painting underneath you. A bit scary as it's really tall and fenceless. I believe every light house would have a soul and that's how they could guide the Fishersman return home from stromy sea.

6. Pusat Ikan Hiasan Port Dickson

I would say one shouldn't miss this attraction. It's so worthwhile being here with all the beautiful sea creatures. Entrace is free it never dissapointed me with FREE VALUE. Our perception is free things will always be dissapointing, then you should come here to prove you wrong.
There are so many exotic fishes and I doubt you would have seen it before. There is a turtle nursery and you can grab a glance of the sea turtle life cycle. Worth it!!

7. Eagle Ranch Resort

Came across this very unique resort while searching the Agoda booking page. The most eye catching is the standalone indiana style lodges built on a field. White colour canvas skin wrapped at the outer layer and formed a triangle shape of hut.
From far, it looks like a indiana community from North America. I decided to book a night here as the rate is rather reasonable.
Surprisingly, the lodge interior was clean, neat and air conditioned. The airconding is cooling working well.
The best part when we were coming out & leaning in the middle of a small wooden bench outside the lodge, feast your eyes with a holistic universe and starlit sky appearing just right above us.
It seemed like walking through the galaxy and immersing into a mysteriously infinite entity. Super cool. There are others camera shooting spots within the resort too. The theme is mirroring a North America Indiana deco whereby Eagle is the trademark of this resort.

8. Telok Kemang Beach

This is one of the public beach in Port Dickson. If you're going on one day trip and looking for a public beach to chill-out, this is the recommended one. The beach is quite clean and there are plenty of food stalls beside the beach. You can easily grab some light bites or snacks after your tiring beach activities.
The sand beach at Telok Kemang is spacious and flat. Suitable for all sort of beach activities. And it's perfect to capture sun setting pictures here too with unlocked ocean view.

Address : Pulau Kemang Public Beach ( waze for direction)

9. Wan Loong Chinese Temple

This temple is also one of the landmark of PD. It's next to the Yun Loong Seafood restaurants. The temple is relatively huge, and the most interesting is the mocked China Great Wall path.
The temple is featured with the Monkey King legendary story too. And there is a turtle pond with probably more than thousand of turtle in it. There was a legend that a man saw a 4 digits words at the shell of one turtle, and this man won a grand lottery prize with this 4 digits gifted number. So try you luck if you happen to come by.

10.  PD Ostrich Farm

PD is famous with its beautiful seaside and coastline. But after a hot sun bathing or a sea salt soaking swim, you may consider visiting this animal farm. It's not a huge farm, but it's more to a petting zoo concept and ostrich is a key highlight in the farm. You will be able to watch ostrich racing, feeding as well as their life cycle.
You may consider this farm as your last tick box in your itinerary before heading back home.

Foods

There are plenty of foods in Port Dickson. Of course, seafoods will still be the highlight in Port Dickson. Below are the few recommended food spots for your selections and to satisfy your craves.

1. Gim Men Teppanyaki Seafood Restaurant

This restaurant is not close to ocean and it's situated in the centre of a small village. However, it has become very poplar nowadays due to all the dishes are creative and well elaborated by the chef. Price is reasonable too. One of the signature dish is the steamed fish with 3 tastes. It's one of the MUST try dish.
I do like their stuffed crab too. Using the shell of the crab and stuffed with minced crab meat. Followed by deep fry. Super scrummy.

2. Kampung Kaw Cafe

This cafe is serving traditional local Malaysian breakfast set. It's situated in one of the Malay Village. Pls take note that the tuning point (right) to this restaurant is not really noticeable.
The breakfast set is very localised taste. It ranges from Nasi Lemak, Toast, fried Bihun and all sort of kopitiam drinks. The mutton rice is one of the best seller in this restaurant too.
One of the specialty is the fried dough dipped with curry source. It looks like the Indian Poori. But they called it Roti Gemok.

3. Restaurant Chardin Seaview

This restaurant is located just right beside the sea. That's why it's called seaview restaurant. Strongly recommend you to come on evening and you will have a chance to dine with a superb sun set view. The seafoods here are very fresh & toothsome, I do like their salted egg squid and Gam Heong Lala. These 2 are the STAR of the restaurant.
You can take a stroll near to the sea side after your meal. Super cool and windy.

4. GBU Eating Point

Best breakfast spot. I do like their half mamak and half Hainan Kopitiam Concept. The American Breakfast with toast is pretty awesome. It looks pretty much like a normal mamak restaurant from outside, but the breakfast set and toast are so unforgettably wonderful.
