A state of crown with highest dignity and royal nobility.

Having no plan yet for the coming holiday? No worries, follow the below itinerary to enjoy your road trip of cuti- cuti Malaysia delight.

1. Forest City

Forest city is a new attraction introduced by developer - Country Garden Pacificview . My first time here was truly impressed by its magnificence and very splendid township.
By entering to the road leading us to the forest city, both sides of the road were the very wide piece of monotorous grass fields, and it was stretching out along the pathway for approximately 6km long.
When we were approaching the forest city, We started seeing a giant residential blocks lining up in a ascending order, it seems a like mysterious township suddenly appearing in nowhere, and I'd a feeling like entering to a secret city on the other side of the earth.
It was really astonishing, all the blocks seemed like being covered up by some trees and plants.
Custom checking was required upon entering the car park. After parking our car, we walked into the building and checked out this secret garden.
Another surprises appeared in our first sight. We felt like entering into a secret fairy world, with the themed ~ The Lost Jungle.
There were man made infinity pools, beaches, walkway, playground, fairy land, boardwalk, and etc. All these facilities were open to public for use. Well decorated with natural materials. For instance : cactus, sea shells, sands, trees, leaves, and many more.
It's a beautiful township bolded with imaginary fairy jungle world.
Most importantly, entrace is FREE !!!.
It's worthwhile to be here to experience this revolutionary development.

As we're staying in Somerset Puteri Harbour, within the walking distance will bring us to the quay side. This is a very happening place and you can enjoy a chilled beer beside the quay, there are many eateries and pubs along the quay side. Taking a walk at night along the harbour is cool too. It's an ideal place for a couple to hang out and dating.
You will see a lot of private yachts parked at the jetty too. What a beautiful scenery ! Come a take a selfie !

FOOD

JB is full of hidden food gems. You don't have to worry about food shortage or any challenge in finding good foods. Many Singaporean will purposely travel down to JB for food as the price and taste are always satisfying. Pls follow the below itinerary :-

1. Storia Cafe

A breakfast place selling all the local breakfast choice. Ranging nasi lemak, Bihun, toast, fried rice and etc. It's a very traditional kopitiam style and the ambience looks similarly to an old town feels where all the forks used to be gathering here and chatting about their lifelong stories. Food is good & economic. No regrets!

KOTA TINGGI

Self-driving is really fun. It took us about 1 hour to reach kota tinggi from JB town. Along the journey, we saw monotorous palm oil estate and a landmark - Hanging Bridge. It seemed like a bridge connecting us to another isolated world.
Desaru coast is one of the attraction but this episode will not write about the desaru. And it will be more related to other outskirts places which are least known by many.

1. Crocodile farm

Largert crocodile farm in Kota Tinggi. None of the places in Malaysia would have as many crocodile as this place. From the size XS - XXXL  you would see many different kind of crocodiles species here, and the best part is you could have the closest contact and view to the crocodiles.
Along the trails, there is only a fence approximately 3 meters height to separate you from a couple of hundreds crocodiles.
Mind your every step. It's just too chilling and adventurous.
The owner used to be the crocodile Hunter, but now they've converted this place into tourist spot to promote public understanding about crocodile. You can even experience to touch the real crocodile bones. Highly recommended !

2. Kota Tinggi Batu Layar Beach

This is a very unique beach with a lot of rocks & stones standing in the middle of ocean. I would call this beach - a mocked " Great Ocean Road". Very beautiful ocean and use your imagination on every rock and they may look alike a figurine or a miracle object through your creativity.
This beach is very secluded and not many resorts available for rent. However there is triangle guest house which is quite famous, it's called batu layar beach resort.
If you're a beach lover, this guest house would be your best choice. It's very close to the beach . Few steps away, you can wet yourself with sea salt water and the astonishing rocky view.
Many ppl will set up their tent here for overnight, doing camp fire, stars gazing, sun bathing are the best activities you could have here.
It's very amazing place to visit.

This is a small museum set up on a small hill. It's a very basic and simple museum in an old traditional Malay house. From this museum, you can have a beautiful ocean view too since this place is at the higher ground area.

We've ordered the pineapples, it costed us only RM 6.00 for the whole pineapple. The meat was unbelievably luscious and sweet.

Their guest houses are very outstanding too. There are few types of stay, tree house, hobbit House. The hobbit house is indeed look like the scene in LORD OF THE RINGS.

FOOD

1. GORENG PISANG ( Fried Banana)

There is a goreng Pisang stall near to Kota Tinggi. If you're driving along the desaru coast, you will definitely not miss a row of shop lot, the only commercial place in desaru.
There are not many eateries at this row of shop lot, hence it's very easy to spot this goreng Pisang stall. It's located in almost the edge of the shop lot. There are selling assorted of fried stuffs, crispness guarantee and banana fragrance is well coated at inner layer. Good for tea time snack or whilst driving to avoid doze-off.

3. Delicious Galaxy Restaurant

We discovered a chinese restaurant near kota tinggi town. This is probably not the best one, but due to very limited choice of Chinese Seafood restaurant around this area, so we'd given a try on this. Surprisingly, the taste was quite good. I preferred the braised yee mee. Fried rice was not bad too. But the food was abit overpriced. Perhaps it was very rare supply in this place.
