Although surrounding are all the enormous and gigantic towers, this museum is still maintained as a low rise with traditional style and characteristic. 11. Pusat Sains Centre ( National Science Centre)7

Visited this place no. of years ago. Returned for 2nd time after they've refurbished their building with colourful plate glasses. Seeing from far, the building looks like a cloroful spaceship.
My 2nd visit was really pleasurable. More attractions have been set up and added to the centre.
There are several sections with different exhibitions. They classify the exhibition based on their scientific nature such as chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Every exhibition comes with array of interesting experimental games to further unleash the science essence as well as promoting a better awareness and understanding to every civilian.
Indeed, they're just too innovative and you will be able to explore tons of scientific beauty in this place.
The most exciting part is the newly featured theme park called *SURVIVE THE BUNKER*.  You've to purchase separate entrace ticket for this theme. Basically it's a horror house and you've to enter to a very dark room and explore the way out from it.
Camera is not allowed in the room, hence you've to experience it yourself with this chilling trail and try to overcome your fear.
Seriously, the trail is very horrifying & you've to really make sure that you're brave enough to deal with the icons and figurines in there. Part of the trail requires you to hike up to a small hanging bridge, it seems like you're venturing into a dark forest. Very interesting.

13. River of life

This is the newly introduced attraction in Kuala Lumpur. Government has allocated the funds to beautify this river and turned it into a tourist attraction. The river has been cleaned & fenced up and a walkway has been built along the river.
Artificial smoke will be released in river side to cover up the whole river bank. It seems like a magical river appearing in the foggy clouds.

14. Merdeka square

After visiting river of life, the walkway will lead you to this colonial building. Merdeka square is the place where Malaysia declared independence. It's a historical place recording a lot of past events. The unique architecture stands out as a most distinctive building in the centre of the city. Its bricky colour seems so classically gorgeous, yet it's somehow referred as *blood and bandages* - red bricks with white plastered arches and banding.

15. Central market

Despite you're local or foreigner, you're welcome to this central market to shop for your souvenirs. There are many limited edition hand crafted & decorative items to meet all sort of collectors' preference.

Having high tea at 38 floors seems so nobly born. While enjoying your German quiche, finest French pastries and a cup of pure and decent english tea, you could also have a panaroma view of the iconic skyscrapers. Let's experience the embracing of the twin tower, trapped in the middle of all the giant towers, sniffing the iron city smells from the sky deck of a 5 star hotel. 17. Chinatown ( Petaling street)

This is the place where our ancestors (Chinese Representative) landed right before our independence. Walking through this nostalgic street and trails, a sudden black & white scene appearing in my mind and seems like flashing back to the past era where all Chinese was running the tin business here, a very lively & busy place with all sort of business activities conducted here.
Imagining there is no advance technologies, the only transportation is trishaw and horsecar. The bygone days and scene are no longer seen today. All of this shops have been converted to a urbanized cafes and restaurants.
Left behind only the memory behind the wrinkled forehead of the old folks.
Exploring this place and try visualizing the most plain living lifestyle of the bygone days. It's fantastic!

18. Lost in Chinatown

When you're in Chinatown, do visit this little museum uniquely called LOST IN CHINATOWN. The setup of the museum is like a maze and it gives you a full insight of Malaysia and the specialties of being in Malaysia.
Very interesting museum and you tend to be lost in the museum due to the confusing maze setup. Whilst you're finding your way out, you will be able to gain a full knowledge of Chinatown history as well as the legendary.
It's amazing and also a very perfect spot to feast your camera craves.

19. Ghostly Backlane (鬼仔巷)

This is one of the new Instagramable attraction near Chinatown. Generally, it's a narrow backlane being refurbished and transfomed into a vintage old street with some murals on the wall.
This street looks so archaic and enigmatic especially with those big foot tree rooted on the wall, the aged building faded in its colour, and the entire street has returned to the original earth tone. The entrance to the backlane is featured with a wooden curved bridge which the tourists have to cross it before entering into the backlane. It adds extra sense of mystery.

Address : Lorong Panggung (beside Ho Kaw Kopitiam)

Food trails

You would find plenty of decent foods with indescribly great taste around Kuala Lumpur. Ranging from cuisine standard to street food hawker, all of them are trying to impress your tastebuds with their saporous . I can't name all of them, otherwise it will be an endless list. Follow the below for the highlight :-

1. BERYL'S Cafe

Closeby to the Kwai Chai Hong, there is an urbanised beryl's coffee shop. BERYL'S is the local chocolate brand of Malaysia, and this is the first coffee shop named after local chocolate brand beryl's. Of course, all the in-house dessert and pastry are made by beryl's chocolate as a key ingredient. Some are so toothsome and it's definitely good place for an afternoon tea too. The ambience is superb as it's converted from an old house. The interior is using modern-classic design and also an ideal chill-out place for the hipster.

Beryl's Chocolate And Cafe
Lot 18, Jalan Panggong, 50000 Kuala Lumpur. Daily, 9am-6pm. Tel: 03-2022-0713

1. 乡音馆 petaling street heritage house

This is a very unique restuarant with archaic design and theme. It seems like a typical Chinese eating place yet featured with modern-vintage decoration. A lot of oldest and long lost household equipments are displayed in -house. It somehow triggers some missing memories from the old folks.
There is a small museum at 2nd floor exhibiting all the antiquity. It looks like a time travel corner. There is a mock stage used to perform the Chinese cultural show in old era. Very interesting.
Foodwise, try the drunken pork rib, red vinasse misua, Hakka thunder rice.
The specialty is the serving utensils are so oriented classic. They're using the cock printed bowl, traditional metal mug for your beverage. What a nostalgia.

Besides Yong Tau Foo, you may also try other foods as highlighted below :-

4. Beef noodles ( 新九如)

This is another of my favourite restaurant selling authentic beef noodles. This is the only restaurant will make me crave for it anytime and any day. Sometimes I'll purposely drive there to have a bowl of hot and luscious beef noodles soup before i head back to work. The beef meat is very tender, springy and soft. After cooked in the finest essence soup for hours, the meat fully absorb the flavours of the soup stock. When you insert the whole peice of meat into your month, it tastes like a chewy tenderloin and the succulent juice from the meat texture gradually filled up your mouth. It's very satisfying. It's usually served with a bowl of noodles and I prefer dried one. The noodles is topped with savoury mince beef. Although the noodles looks plain, I would assure you that it tastes even much better than those with overloads of black sauce.
The plain noodles will be mixed with the soup essence before it's drained for the excess soup. Hence it's really scrumptious!

Location : 7a Jln Tun Tan Cheng Lock, opposite kota raya. Need to walk further down towards pasar seni station.
Cost : RM 8 - 10.00

5. Burger station

This burger stall is located along the road side near the edge of Jalan Sultan. It's quite difficult to notice him as it's somehow covered up by some shop banners. I strongly recommend this as the burger is unbelievably yummy. The signature is DING DONG means the combination of patty wrapped with egg.
The patty is very thick, fresh and juicy. It's pan grilled with house sauce recipe, a few drips of special soy sauce, aromatic pepper, wrapped with an egg and spread with few type of appetizing dressings, mayonnaise & etc. Every bite is so pleasurable as it's completed with assortment of relishes, the combination is just perfect and toothsome.
Imagining the sauce squeezed out from the centre of bun and every morsel is melting ing your mouth with well complement of salads & sauces. You'll be finger-licking goods.

Highlight : Ding Dong Burger
Cost : RM 3 - 5.00

6. Soybean/Tofu paste in China town

Smooth and sliperry paste is the slogan of this stall located in the core of chinatown. Walk into chinatown street and you would notice it in the cross junction of the Chinatown.

Cost : RM 1.80 per piece.

9. Cafe old market square

If you're craving for some Hainan style breakfast or lunch, this will be the ideal spot for your choice. Special highlight is their nasi lemak, toast and some local foods like mee rojak, chicken chop and etc. Personally I like their nasi lemak, the savoury sambal, fried crispy chicken marinated with home recipe spices, coconut steamed rice, egg.... etc. The scent of the nasi lemak can be sensed upon stepping into the cafe. Every spoonful of fragrance of coconut rice dipped with a little sambal sauce plus a shredded a crispy chicken meat, everything is rumbling in your mouth. So fantastic.

I do like their nasi lemak. Their house recipe chicken well complement the coconut rice. The best is the fried chicken comes with a lot of crisps and crumbs, it add extra yummy to your nasi lemak serving.
