Montigo Resort - Batam Island City Tour - A perfect staycation in wondeful Indonesia.

Your journey will never end in Singapore. Another 45 mins ferry trip will transfer you to another island called Batam.

Batam is the closest island to Singapore. Many Singaporean will choose Batam as their quick getaway destination other than the heavy traffic causeway link to Johor Bahru.

The main jetty terminal for ferry transfer to batam is located at Tanah Merah. There are several trips per day and scheduled morning 8am and 2pm afternoon. If you miss the morning trip, then the only trip will be at noon.

It's pretty convenient. We opted to park our car at the jetty terminal at max rates SGD 28 per day and it took us less than 15 mins for the check in and validate the ferry fare.

Before boarding to Ferry, we were required to pass the custome clearance and walk along a covered link bridge to the boarding point.

Ferry

Our ferry is named Batam Fast. This is also one of the most well known and reputable ferry providing sea transportation daily from Sg to Batam or vice versa.

It's a fully covered ferry with air-conditiong and it's having a spacious interior. It's divided into 3 sections of passenger seating including a luggage storage area in the centre just right at the entry point. washroom are available inside the ferry.

The entire journey took us 45 mins to arrive the NongsaPura terminal. This is also the nearest jetty to our Montigo Resort.

Arrival

Upon arrival of Nogsapura Batam Jetty, we need to proceed with another custome clearance for entering to Indonesia territory. This jetty Terninal is rather a basic and plain one, not many shops are operating here and there is only one souvenir shop and a small cafe.

We waited for about 15 mins after the clearance, and the Montigo Resort shuttle has arrived and fetched us up.

Montigo Resort

The shuttle dropped us at the main lobby of Montigo Reosort, and we were led to the reception for checking in procedure.

The entire Montigo resort is built alongside the coastline. At one glance, we can conclusively tell this resort has used white colour prominently for their building exterior design. All units are built upper hills and facing the ocean. It's truly classy and a little bit alike Greece Santorini.

The resort compound is huge and it encompasses more than 80 units of bungalow alike rooms and a main place for centralising all the facilities. The facilities include

8. Pool bar and Bistro

Buggy are heavily used in this resort. It's quite far to walk from one lmace to another. However, thier buggy service is always on call basis and operating 24 hours.

Staff ate super friendly and their hospitality deserves a 5 star rating credits.

While waiting for our check in, we were hanging around at the pool side and had a quick soak in one of the pool beside a Bistro. The bar and Bistro is serving all sort of drinks including alcoholic Beverages

Room / Bungalow

The interior of our room unit is truly impressive. It's a 3 level standalone bungalow and fully air-conditioned.

Ground Level

From the entrace, there is a shoe storage area and a stairs leading to upper floor. At the left side, there is a push-in door to the living hall

A. Living Hall

Living Hall is spacious and featured with the following facilties :-

Fridge

and all kitchenware and utensils.

B. Balcony

The most stunning one is the private edge pool at the balcony. The private pool is about a rectangular shape and overseeing the ocean. It's built in between a tall wall and there is no see-through from another units. Full of privacy. Besides the pool, there is a huge area with a dining table. After a cool swim, one can sit on chair and sipping a glass of refreshing magarita🍹.

The pool can be swam and soaked all the time whenever you feel to do so as it's fully owned by you during your entire stay.

C. Wash room / shower room

Each room is having an attached bathroom. G floor has an individual washroom too without having climbed up to upper floor. Super convenient.

A. Master bedroom

Master bedroom is a spacious feature with a very spacious bathroom. The bathroom is in a tropical style design, and it comes with an open concept bathtub and 2 separate rooms for showering and passing.

The room is facing the seaview and there is an individual TV set too. A small chill-out lounge sofa is set up besides the window for resting or taking an afternoon nap. It's a very cosy room.

Master bedroom is furnished with a King Size bed and super comfy bedding equipments.

B. 2nd Room

It comes with 2 single beds and an attached bathroom. The bathroom is smaller than the master bedroom one but it's also complete with all the toiletries.

2nd Floor ( Top Floor)

The top floor is essentially a rooftop. Its an observatory platform overseeing the entire Resort scenery. As there is no shelter, it will be quite warm during the sunny day. However, it's cool to sit down here during night as it's windy and the starry night can be clearly spotted.

Restaurant

A. Tadd restaurant

Tadd restaurant is the main restaurant stationed besides the kids club and also within all other facilties centres. This is also the place where we had our breakfast. Ala Carte Menu is served throughout the day.

The most attractive one is that this restaurant is overseeing a brodeless ocean. And you can feel the cool sea breeze while having your meal.

B. Pantai restaurant.

Pantai restaurant is another restaurant next to the main resort lobby. This restaurant is serving fresh seafoods and its a prefect place for dinner as its less crowded. The restaurant is cosy and comfy top as it's situated at a little upper ground and the the guest can have a historic view or sunset horizon view while enjoying the meal here. The seating arrangement is more exclusive as it's separated with partition. More privacy felt.

They've never disappointed the guest with their choices of foods. The breakfast is really appetising and making a perfect start of the day. We were truly impressed by the assortment of choices as well as the food categories. It's simply too much to choose.

Lunch / Dinner

Lunch and Dinner can be ordered form Ala Carte Menu. They do serve some very authentic Indonesia cuisine.

For dinner, we dined in Pantai Restaurant. Variety of choices and the seafoods are super fresh. We were very lucky that the restaurant was having some luce scallops during our visit. We managed to order a small portion and it was unbelievably fresh. We chose the cooking style steamed ginger. The scallop was so tender and with the cooking style of light steam, the juciness was well trapped in the meat.

We truly enjoy the stay with Montigo Resort. Very moment in Montigo will be a rhythm of love and relaxation. Montigo empower a STAY like a KING !

We've been truly impressed by thier staff hospitality. During our stay, they'd arranged a surprise visit to our unit for my sister's birthday. A group of staff greeting and singing with strumming the guitar just to let the guest feel something special in this special day. Love their passion and very guest oriented attitude.
