Bentong Wellness Resort - A hidden & serene resort embraced by river stream.

BENTONG TOWN is not new to all the Malaysian. Especially during Durian harvest season, all the locals or tourist will flock into this town to taste the juiciest and affordable Durian.

While enjoying your Durian feast, trust that you also need a restful place for a great retreat. After searching so many resorts and homes, I found most of the resorts had been fully booked & taken. I could imaging how pack this town was during that time.

In one glance, I noticed this Bentong Wellness Resort appeared in one of the website. Honestly, there was not many reviews, and there was also no booking option in the website. The contact number advertised was not reachable to the owner too.

As such, I went into the FB and attempt to locate the contact details. In one of the posting, I came across this person in charge called Daniel. His contact was shown in one of the corner of the page. I texted Danile and finally received his swift reply. He told me that there was still a room vacant. I immediately confirmed my booking and excitedly anticipate to our stay.

Bentong Wellness Resort is situated remotely from Bentong town. It's approximately 15km away from Bentong downtown. The inner road towards this resort is rather quiet and low traffic.

Bentong wellness resort is divided into 2 sections.

1. The main section is a standalone bungalow which can accomodate up to 60 pax

2. The other section consists multiple room types which can accomodate a smaller group woth different family sizes

Both of the above sections are connecting through a small gate. Basically, you can walk across either side through a connecting gate.

As we were having only 4 pax, we'd been assigned into a room with 2 queen beds 🛌 and attached bathroom. This unit is situated at the 2nd section.

Our room is featured with a fan, air-conditiong, attached bathroom, cabinet, and other basic necessities. Our room is labelled as A2.

Of course, there are other neighbouring rooms with various capacity. All these rooms are sharing a kitchen, a dining place and a karaoke corner.

My walk through as follow :

1. Kitchen

The kitchen is complete with all the cooking ware, utensils, and different kind of pots and frying pan to cater all kind of cooking needs. Super convenient. During our stay, we managed to cook a hearty breakfast with all the essentials.

2. Karaoke

The karaoke system is for public use. I truly like thie karaoke sound system. High quality and the microphone is well tuned.

3. River stream

This resort is surrounded by child friendly river stream. The water is clean and not so rapid. Its very suitable for family splashing. There are many little falls too, the guest can pick the right spot and let the water purify your distressed soul.

4. Hiking / morning walk

The compound of this resort is spacious and broad. The pathway is leading to all the beautiful greens and sightseeing spots. Do wake up in early morning, and hike up to a small hill, the view is super astonishing. Especially you can witness a mountain decking up another mountain with the mysterious fog floating at the top of the summit. It's truly a earthly paradise.

5. Fruit Farm

The owner has planted a lot of fruits trees 🌳 within the resort. There are Durian trees, lime, papaya, longan, pomelo and etc. Do pick them up if you are lucky to harvest some sweet and juicy ripe fruits.

6. Swimming Pool

There is a swimming pool near to the BBQ corner. The best about the pool is that the pool water is essentially a spring water from mountain ⛰️. Super refreshing and cool.

7. Vegetable Farm / Petting Zoo

The owner has spared about an acre of land to cultivate some vegetables farm. They planted some vegetables with special care and quality fertiliser input. The guest can take a stroll at their vegetables farm and to enjoy the pleasure of planting. Besides the vegetable farm, there is a small petting zoo with sucking and geese. There is also a fish pond next to it for some fish breeding.

In a nutshell, Bentong Wellness Resort is a very relaxing place for a getaway from the hustle and bustle city life.

The tropical forest here is 100% virgin, and imagining the first thing to greet you in the morning is only the prominent greeneries and the charming fog.

The air surrouding is fresh cooling. Zero car Horning sound and the only sound that awake you is the river stream bubling sound. The stream bubling over the rocks and branches, it sometimes sway with some dried leaves, despite being the visual or sensual, it's too meditating 🧘‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️

We will surely return for 2nd time. Let's have a pause and give a brain a complete rejuvenation. Peace our mind and observing the phenomena from the nature. It sometimes triggers you long asleep soul and the fighting spirits!
