Sailor Rest - Be a one day Popeye the Sailor Man...
Never have an experience of boarding a private cruise? Worried about sea sickness? Wonder how's the sailing life of a sailor? Or yearning for a romantic boat trip by sipping a red wine with your loved one?
Sailor rest can fulfil your dream without crusing through the deep ocean. Sailor rest resort homes consist of several rooms types. The most signature one is their boat house. It is uniquely designed in a real boat model and all the interior and architecture is built in accordance to a real cruise structure.
This boat house is built on a floating platform at the edge of a lakeside. By staying into this standstill boat house as if you're cruising through a the ocean despite being in a non-moving condition.
There is only 1 unit of boat house available for booking. Once you miss it, you would have to go for other options such as chalet or camping sites.
Personally, I prefer the concept of the boat house, so we had made booking much in advance. The entire boat house will be reserved for you if you mange to book through and you will have a definite privacy while staying here.
The boat house has a front yard which is an open concept one. There is also an outdoor dining table which allows to be exposed to natural air and to enjoy the cool breeze of the forest. You can also have your meal outside here if the indoor place looks too confined.
The interior of the boat house consists of a living hall, a bedroom, an intermediate Pantry and the rear is bathroom. All the furniture and decoration are mirroring a sailor's theme. The living hall is quite spacious, and it comes with sofa, coffee table, and a fan.
The design and colours are identical to a British style, and it looks like a first class deck in a TITANIC cruise. I can't hold myself to have a plate a scone, an English Tea and some butter toast.

Sailor Rest Resort is emphasising on back to the nature concept. It allows someone to evade from the city bustle, and peace your mind with only water healing and leaves swishing, insect chirping, and wind whistling sound. It's truly a good place for meditation.
Sailor Rest Resort has no fancy swimming pool or classy gym room or etc. But it's modestly illustrating a plain living life of a mankind. Splashing at the River side, star gazing, watching the birds, and reading some books in a silent night. These are the most basic entertainment for a mankind before we were turned into more materialistic kind.
Other facilties as highlighted:
1. Splashing at Riverside ( The river stream is just few steps from the resort) cool and refreshing spring water will soothe your dull and dry skin.
2. Fruit Trees : Sailor rest is situated in the core of a fruit farm. There are many kind of fruit trees can be seen within the compound. If you're at the right timing of the ripening of the fruits, you can also harvest and taste the juiciest self picked fruits.
3. Star Gazing
Take a stroll at the river side at night or just simply standing at the front yard of the boat house, you will see the twinkle stars and the entire galaxy above you.
4. Book Reading
Grab some of your favourite books from the shelf, and you will find the story line is extra interesting especially you're reading through in a silent night.🌙
Breakfast
Breakfast is included during our stay. I do like their breakfast setup as well as the breakfast theme. They're serving traditional malay breakfast which are including Nasi Lemak, Fried Bihun, soft boiled eggs, Malay Pastry, Toast, Milk & Cereal & Teh Tarik.
Overall I find Sailor Rest is a very unique and relaxing resort. It provides a perfectly visual experience of staying in a cruise.
Sailor Resort is beautifully nestled in the core of a deep forest along Janda Baik hills, it adds extra splendidful to the overall staying experience. This boat house appears out of nowhere from the forest looks like a mysterious Peter Pan ship floating on a green carpet. It seems sending us to a secret world of a paradise.
Some feedback for improvement :-
I wish Sailor Rest Resort can put in more efforts to maintain the resort. Major aging signs can be seen at many parts of the resort especially the surface of the boat house wall, the flooring and the worn out furniture. Perhaps some refurbishment works needs to be carried out to ensure its long run sustainability.
Anyway, will recommend to others who enjoy quite and peaceful place !
