2D 1N Rustcamps Resort

A place where triangle is better than a square.

RUSTCAMPS resort is nestled in the mid hill of genting highlands and within the vicinity to Gohtong Jaya town.

This resort is located remotely at a forest area. It takes approximately 10 mins drive from gohtong Jaya town. Many people may tend to overlooking this small little junction heading to Rustcamp resort as the path way leading to this rustcamp resort is rather quiet and dark at night time.

However, you never expect that there is always a bright side at the edge of the dark road. After driving about a 2 km along a silent road, the rustcamp resort is splendidly set up right at edge of road. It's opposite of another resort called green woods resort.

The most eye catching is the shape of the Guest House within the rustcamps. All houses are built in the shape of triangle.

Watching from far, they are just like a cone shape wooden house, and evenly lining up on a flat surface. Same size, height and shape. At a glance, you might think this could be lodge belong to the dwarfs.

Their shape is rather unique as if the house picture I used to draw in my sketch book during my childhood. 2 lines to form a triangle roof and a square box attached at the bottom. And 2 small window at the centre. This is exactly my childhood imaginary house and it has come into live now.

The specialty about rustcamp resort is the private jacuzzi. The unit that we booked was featured with a jacuzzi in front of it. And our entire unit was facing the forest nature view. Super spectacular.

There are 2 type of units :-

1. With attached Jaguzzi

2. With the common sharing jacuzzi

Certainly , the unit with attached private jacuzzi stands at the higher rates pet night.

The interior is well organised with air conditioning. The bathroom is attached at the back of the unit. It's not ver spacious but equipped with all the essentials

I prefer the unit facing the natures view. It's very quiet at night and you can hear water flowing sound from the stream, insects or cricket buzzing at night and the bird chirping in the morning.

Cool air lingering around the forest and you can sense the freshness of the breeze surrouding the thick woods. Morning sun slowly pierce through the trees and outshine between leaves, the entire forest start reviving it's soul and all the greens sharpen their colours under a charming sun light.

It's a true retreat and I would day a Lungs cleansing stay.

The Jaguzzi is featured with hot water. You don't have to worry about soaking yourself into a tub in a freezing cold night.

Breakfast is included and its just a very basic breakfast with some snack and ready packed bread. Pls do not put so much expectation on the breakfast, I would suggest you to eat outside as this breakfast is deemed as a very light snack or small bites. Won't be able to fill up your eagerly hungry stomach.

There are many restaurant at the vicinity. You need to drive 2 km out from this forest and you find plenty of choices of foods lining up within a few row of shoplots. There are a lot of soupy foods to help ease your coldness and many convenient store too to cater your basic needs.

My personal comments :-

This is a very unique resort. You can experience a forest stay in this triangle wood lodge. However, 2D1N will be hood enough for a quick retreat. You might be feeling a little bit bored if you stay more than 1 night since the compound is not so huge.
