There are always an alternative choice other than Melaka. Our holiday destination can be always be customised if we are willing to divert a little from those hot travel spots.
As people always said, a turning of a corner, it will lead you to another new avenue.
We decided to divert abit from Melaka town this round and I managed to locate this Durian Ecolodge Resort situated in Tampin. Tampin is a small town whereby tourist will be unlikely to drop by due to the 2 big popular spots (Alor Gajah A'famosa & Melaka heritage city have outshined it).
But when you zoom into it, you find there are some amazing things to do in this low profile yet interesting small town.
Let introduce to you with our 2d1n stay in Durian Ecolodge Resort.
Highlights :-
1. Most of the rooms are in Caravan Style. It comes with following room types.
A. Twin Sharing Caravan ( for 2 persons)
B. L Shape joint Caravan for 4 person. It's actually a 2 joint Caravan for 2 × 2 pax.
C. Pyramid style room ( 4 persons). This triangle hut is essentially built with 2 level. A family with 4 can stay in the same roof with upper and lower deck room.
2. Pick and eat fruits :
This Resort emphasising on the fresh fruits and organic serving. The owner allowed us to pick any ripe fruits and eat it instantly & freshly. This is truly amazing. One can experience the harvesting of the fruits from a trees/ plants and put into the mouth and to crunch it to extract its super fresh juice and essence. How often we can freshly pick the fruits with our eager hands? But this resort will fulfil your craving with their guest-come-first concept. Their principles is to let the guest to have an unforgettable and authentic fruit farm experience.
But they're are 3 rules :-
A. No waste of fruits.
B. Just Pick the adequate amount of fruits in accordance to your capacity.
C. Pick only the ripe fruits.
3. Fruit Farm Tour :
There is also a in house tour organised by the resort. They will tour you around the farm and explain their nursery program profile every plants to you.
4. ATV
There is a free 5 mins Atv program for every guest who wishes to experience ATV ride. Should you need to extend the hours, extra charge is required.
5. Instagram spots
A. Photo frame : This is imitating the one in South Africa. This frame shows the key spot to watch both sun rise and sun set.
B. Rainbow pathway ( a colourful pathway to feast camera shooting). It's really delighting!
C. Love Shape wall. Capture a memory photo in the the centre of the hearts. It looks so warm and charming.

6. Swimming pool :
A zen pool to watch the starlit sky. It's open until 11pm.
7. BBQ areas.
Every Caravan will have its nearest bbq area. You juts need need bring your ingredients and all other utensils are provided. RM 20 Charge for the BBq stove and utensils.
8. Animal Farm :
Behind the reception, there is a small fenced animal farm with many kind of birds. Ranging from roaster, chicks, Turkey, geese and etc.
9. Various fruits trees including Durian, mangosteen, passion fruits and etc.

4pm - Tea time is prepared. There are toast bread, crackers, and
5pm- ATV ( 5 mins)
6pm - Guided Farm Tour
7pm/8pm - Steamboat & BBQ dinner
Day 2 :
9am - Breakfast (Nasi Lemak / Bihun)
10am - Free & Easy
12pm - Checkout
