Recently, the areas in Jalan Panggung have been booming and flooded with hipsters and foodies. Many Cafes & Restaurants have been sprouted out along this street.

In the core of the Jalan Panggung, there is a newly introduced attraction called <GUI ZHAI LANE>(鬼仔巷). Means Spiritual Lane. 

This lane has been developed and beautified by the state government and successfully converted it into a tourist attraction spot. Generally it's just a small lane behind a row of retail shops, and both sides of the walls within the lane have been painted with murals and hung with some Chinese lanterns above the rooftop. The theme is identical to an old China Town where you can relate to some of the archaic Shang Hai Street with neighbourhood living spirits.

Soonest, its popular name has been spreaded out widely and this place has become a popular tourist attractions. A lot of photographers will unleash their shooting talents using the backgroud of this classic-modern theme. Many urbanised restaurants have been set up to emulate their standout dining menu.
