Labis & Bekok 2 days 1 night trip ( Featured Tangkak)
Labis & Bekok ( Featured Tangkak) 2 days 1 night trip
A charming small town sprouted out from the middle of monotonous palm oil estate.
Labis & Bekok towns are neighbouring to each other. About 15km distance among both towns. The significant landmark is the railway connecting through these 2 towns.
These 2 towns are very low profile, not known by many. One of the main reason is they're situated farther from the North-South highway. After exiting to Tangkak, it takes you another 1 hour 45 mins to reach the both destinations. And the last tail of journey is fully through the inner side of road. Thus, people tend to stop over only tangkak and continue journey to Johore Bahru.
However, these both towns are having a lot of hidden gems and yet to be discovered by tourist. Do make a detour to Labis & Bekok for short layover to check out all these points of interest. You will find some long lost childhood memories back or the kind of small town delights we used to live in 70's or 80's.
This virgin small town is still midst of being developed by government for enhancing the infrastructures. One of the key landmark is the KTM railway passing through the both towns. The significant railway track has made Bekok Town well known as a city of train.
Hence, one of the mural with train head is known as the most famous artwork in this town.
Let me walk you through the things to do in this town. Feel the slower pace of living, enjoy a sip of coffee under a tree, and calling few friends to have a leisure chat over your lifelong stories at a very vintage kopitiam. Take a break to take a breath!
