Janda baik is not far from Kuala Lumpur. Approximately 1 hour drive will lead you to another hillside attraction Janda Baik. This area is surrounded by mother nature and deep tropical forest. Driving along the inner forestry road, it's just like being trapped inside the core of the jungle, seems completely isolated from the busy city and tranquilised by only the calm and charming yet mysterious forest atmosphere.


1. Pinto Coffee

A classic wood lodge coffee house.
Best coffee sipping accompanied by tall trees, bird & Cricket Chipping sounds. Soothing your eyes sight with the natural green at 4 angles.
A good place to spend for a moment of silence.

2. The Cafe @ Embun Luxury Villa

This is a hill top villa featured with a coffee house.
You need to drive up to an almost 90 degree slope before reaching the hill top embun villa. Super nice view & the weather is super cooling too.
Booking is required for the coffee house.
Stay is available too but the cost is not cheap for this fully private and exclusive accomodation.

3. Kopi N Kraf

Its situated near to sum-sum hilir janda baik. Very unnoticeable this place.  But very secluded and it looks a little bit balinese style in design. The coffee table is set outdoor and allowing for a panaroma view of the forest.

4. RUANG

RUANG is a guest house situated near to sum sum hilir too. It's a very cool and friendly place for grouip retreat. This guest house is featured by a river stream. During your stay, you can do some splashing at the real spring water.
If you just come by for a visit, foods menu is available for ala carte order.

5. Fig Malaysia Farm (Janda Baik) 

You would never believe that there is such a sizable fig farm in Janda Baik district. If you're the fig fruits lover, you should stop over this place and perhaps to grab some freshly picked figs to keep you nourished. 

The tourist is also allowed to walk into the fig plantation farm to understand the fig growing process and also take some nice shots with this sweet and lovely figs.

6. Pineyard Cafe 

One of the modernised cafe house surrodued by pine trees and forest. Pick a nice seat and preferably facing the forest. Imagining of sipping your hot aromatic coffee and pleasing your eyes with the comfy greenery and natural beauty. 

Their signature lava cakes and variety of salad are the highlights of the restaurant.

9. Goat Farm 

This beautiful Goat Farm is situated in a very remote area of a hill side near Kg Janda Baik . Their key business is producing Goat's Milk. There are also some farming activities operated on this land. 

This Farm is featured with few wooden cot housing a couple hundreds of goats. From the yeanling to the matured ones and ranging from different sizes as well as being sorted in accordance to their gender. The Goats are very clean and healthy.  They are fed with the grass planted by the owner. 100% grass fed goats and organic guarantee. If you're visiting this Farm, you may also bring back some Goat's Milk for your own consumption. Super fresh and tasty.

Tips: DO NOT waze Goat's Farm directly. The eaze will  lead you to a longer route with a very narrow roads. 

You may waze Sekolah Janda Baik. And once you've reached the Sekolah Janda Baik, then only re-route to Goat's Farm. This route is shorter and easier to get through.

10. Pulau Santap 

Janda baik is famous with its beautiful cascading river. Saok yourself into this cold and chilling spring water, it will help boost your blood circulation and ease your long lasting tiredness. 

Pulau Santap Point is a public access river. Do come by and enjoy a river bath. So cool and delighting!

11. 桃源谷美食 wonderland Valley 

My top choice restaurant in Bukit Tinggi. 

I've tried many, but only this restaurant will make me return few times without any doubts. 

Claypot steamed tilapia is the regular order. 

And their self planted kangkung is super delicious too. 

There are some small petting zoo surrouding. For those come with kids, at least there are something extra for them to look around. 

There is a wild boar fenced up too. I doubt many of us have seen a real wild boar. Come by here to witness it. 

Dining is super cool too. You may choose the table beside the river stream. Eating while hearing the water flowing. What an appetising meal!

12 . E Farm Restaurant 

Good environment, tasty foods, and dining besides the hillside and deep forest ! What else can you complain about? 

Do come early as weekend tends to be very crowded. Proceed straight to the counter to receive your Queue number. It's truly worthwhile to queue for your dining table besides a secret forest. 

Highlights: Bamboo Prawns and All sort of freshwater fishes.

13. Istana Lemuni 

This beautiful cafe is nestled in the core of a forest and its gorgeously designed in a malay sultanate theme. 

They're serving very authentic Malay Cuisine, and the dining place is using a very traditional style of seating equipment. 

The building construction materials are mostly in wooden concept. Upon entering to the compound of the cafe, you need to cross a bridge to the opposite site. There are 3 very eye catching traditional Sultanate houses standing loftly in the main entrance. 

Further to the right, that is where the cafe situated. They're using a lot of traditional antique and display to furnish the entire cafe. It seems like travelling back to the old days Sultanate era. 

The cafe is divided into 2 levels. The upper level is allowing you to dine on a tatami style. If you opt for the upper level, you need to climb a very steep & slim wooden stairs. The interior design of the cafe is super stunning.

There are a lot of photo shooting spots surrounding. Air is super fresh and cool as its in the middle of the woods. 

Please pre book before your visit to avoid disappointment. The road towards this cafe is rather narrow, muddy and winding. Preferably to visit on non-raining day.
