Top 20 food choices in Klang Valley - Food Hunting Vol. 2

KLANG Valley Food Hunting Episod 2
A place where food topic is always the talk of the town.

Some nice foods tend to be very low profile and they're waiting to be discovered through the words of mouth. That's why Malaysian always begins a conversation with FOOD related topic. It's very interesting to talk about foods, and as a Malaysian, we always play our part to introduce some nice foods spots to our friends and sometimes we will even show them the direction of getting there. This foods sharing thoughts have soon become one of the advantage to make all the unknown food stalls outshine the rest after the sharing with concurrences.

1. Pork Noodles

Lately, I came across this pork noodles store near USJ. As a pork noodles lover, I'll definitely be able to tell the best and the bad pork noodles taste. A bowl of nice pork noodles must be cooked with a high graded of soup espicially the soup flavoured with the natural meat and bone essence. Not the seasoning type. Secondly, the pork must come with 2 types, minced and sliced. The pork meat must be well marinated with high quality of ingredients and spices. Sometimes with mild scent of sesame oil. The meat texture mustn't too hard or too soft. It has to be at the average tenderness and well blended in the soup. The below recommended pork noodles shop seems fulfilling all the criterias of being a tasty pork noodles.

The size is not overly huge but it's just nicely fit into your mouth. Price is super reasonable.

18. Restoran OK Hainan

Best Nasi Lemak in town.
This Hainan OK kopitiam is a very low profile food court and unnoticeably situated in the middle of an old housing areas near Batu 11.
It has become popular nowadays through some introduction from social networks, and it has gained a very good credits from the local community.
Personally, I very much prefer the nasi lemak here. The stall is run by a middle-age Chinese Lady. In front of the stall, there are some pictures illustrating all sort of nasi lemak with diffrent dishes. It seems so tantalising especially for a Nasi Lemak super fans like me.
I ordered a Nasi Lemak with Rendang Chicken. I was so impressed with the Rendang Gravy as well as the overall Nasi Lemak combination. The chicken was well marinated and the taste has been well penetrated up to the inner bone. The gravy was so savory and it was really well mixed with every scope of rice. The fragrantly cooked Santan Rice was very aromatic and well balance with its texture. Other recommended foods include Spicy Soup, Chee Cheong Fun.
The spicy soup is tasty too. If you do like that kind of pepper taste, this soup will suit your taste bud well. Every spoonful of soup will awake your 5 senses haha.

19. Little Moments Cafe

Found this little cafe few lots away from Restoran Hainan OK. It's a also situated in the middle of the old wooden house. The cafe concept is converting an old & stale house into a classically vintage cafe. The cafe is nicely decorated with all the memorable old school items, they're not using the high-end classy concept but it's more to a sweet and warm library style cafe.
All the table and chairs are wooden style, just like going back in our old school time, when we were having a heart to heart chat over our sweet sxhhole affairs or even a puppy love.
It's suitable kids too as they're is a small library in house, pick a favourite book and you can enjoy your reading pleasure for the entire day while sipping a glass of lemonade under a hot sunny day.

20. Asia Street Food Cafe

Super love this Asian-Thai--kopitiam cafe situated near to Chinatown.
Discovered during lunch time.
The foods served were so toothsome as they're combining the concept of a kopitiam style with the elements of Thai, fusion & Hainan kopitiam taste. The cafe was featured with the theme of a old Traditional Sensei Shop. A lot of traditional Chinese medicine used in good old days were displayed here. Like their dried & luncheon meat Bread, fried Kuey Teow, Mama MEE and Mama curry noodles, pork neck rice and many more.
It's a good place for you to capture some nice potraits for your Instagram as the set up is super cool and classic.
