Belum Royal Rainforest - Kiss the rain and feel the forest. Belum Royal Resort - A luxurious retreat with the only Mother belongs to the true nature

3 days 2 nights
Belum Royal Rainforest Resort + Kuala Kangsar + Ipoh Short Stay.
Let the wonderful nature ionize your soul

Belum Royal Rainforest Resort is always my dream vacation place to be visiting for. Yet the driving journey seems to be tiring and unbearably long.
Despite of that, I've finally planned a trip to reveal its beautiful veil. 5 hours driving journey was really painful. After exiting Kuala Kangsar toll from the express way, we needed to drive another 135km to reach Royal Belum Park.
Last tail of 40 km was completely a forestry and remotely road. But the scenery was simply too breathtaking.
This country road was surrounded by rolling hills and greenery, winding yet quite. We did enjoy its uniqueness and unpolluted air.
When we were approaching, we needed to cross a bridge before reaching the BELUM royal resort. The bridge was approximately 1km long, and it was a standalone bridge rising up loftly in the middle of the lake.
360 degree holistic view can be seen when crossing this bridge.
As if we needed to pay the tribute to the highness of Royal Belum Resort before entering to its territory. So exclusively elegant!

- Many cendol Stalls are centred in this MPKK food court. Pick your favourite one and order a Pasembung ( also known as a fried dough with peanut gravy). Perfect match. Personally I prefer Cendol Pulut.

b. Claypot Chicken Rice

- Tried this famous claypot chicken rice near bercham. Our arrival was in conjubction to the some local tourist group. Hence it was rather crowded. After waiting about 20 minutes, a claypot chicken rice with sizzling burning scent was served in front of us. The rice was turned into golden brown and well mixed with special soy sauce. Every piece of chicken was well marinated with their secret recipe. Mild scent of Chinese Sausages add extra cerditability to the taste.
- They're still using traditional way - Charcoal to cook the claypot rice. Slowly and steadily steamed the rice under a balance heat. Thus, the rice turned out to be so evenly tasty and flavorful. Every claypot comes with the best effort from the Onwer.
- Home made fish ball and meat ball are their highlights too. Very spongy and fresh. Still can taste the freshness of the fish and meat texture. Good !

C. GOCHIN pamelo farm

- I've eaten pamelo and yet have no idea how the trees look like. This farm provides us a short tour to their farm and allows us a closest contact to all the trees and plants.
- The farm Onwer a young men patiently explained the cycle of pamelo trees from planting to harvesting. He also introduced  others fruits trees as well as their features and specialities to us too.
- It's a very educational walkthrough. Worth to visit. There is a free tasting at the end of the tour too. And you can bring back some if you do like it. The pamelo selling here is sweet & juicy guarantee. The red meat with sweet & sour is the best seller.

d. Breakfast at Sin Lok Yee Kopitiam

- Ipoh has plenty of Kopitiam style food stall. It'snot difficult to find a localised taste kopitiam but to find a less crowded one during peak season could be quite challenging.
-We've chosen to have our breakfast in Simee Town. Althoght it's a bit far from Ipoh Town centre, you can rest assured that the crowd is definitely more controllable compared to some of the key tourist spots.
- Through some introduction from the locals, we've visited this Sin Lok Yuen beside the Simee Morning Market.
- The fried Kuey Teow was super awesome. Similar standard to Penang one. Fair amount of Big Shirmps and Chinese sausages could be early seen on top of the keuy Teow. When it was freshly served, the steaming smoke was so satisfying.

e. Restoran Sin Teck Kee

-If you're coming to Ipoh without trying this, it would be truly a waste.
-Teck Kee restaurant has become very popular in Ipoh, not only the local's choice but people nationwide as well as tourist.
-Very authentic restaurant selling some signature fried noodles and side dishes.
-Special highlights are their Moon Noodles. A fried Kuey Teow topped with a raw egg on top. Mix the raw egg with the sizzling Kuey Teow will make the noodles texture more smooth & slippery.
-Price is super reasonable.
- We ordered 1 plate of noodles, one set fried dumpling (14 pcs), one plate of fatty bean sprouts and 2 drinks only cost RM 18.00+.
- Highly recommended

f. Chang Jiang Coffee House

- White coffee is one of the famous drink in Ipoh. As said, no coffee no life. A lot of coffee shops therefore spouted out in every places in Ipoh.
- Yet the most famous one is still Chang Jiang Coffee House. It's a very classic with long establishment.
- a cup of good coffee to make your happier ever. The coffee here is so aromatic and the thickness & boldness of the coffee taste will really make you addicted to it.
- At the first sip, you can feel the aroma of the cofeee scent rumbling in your mouth and before swallowing, you will then feel a mild bitterness. Super nice.

g. Snack & biscuits souvenir at Qun Kee

- Ipoh is famous with all sort of locally made biscuits & snacks. Bring back some from the this recommended shop.
- This shop is famous with all sort of pastries and biscuits. It has been running as family biz with few generation for decades.
- All the biscuits and pastries are very authentic and made with finest ingredients from their family secret recipe.
- Personally, I love the biscuits here very much as they're very traditionally custome made style. In term of the biscuits outer layer, you can see the skin is baked with handmade dough and nicely coated. Not like the factory and commerlised one which are robotically formed.

-This budget hotel is very well maintained and nicely decorated.
-the main theme is Balinese style and the interior is truly British style.
-it seems like a bungalow being converted into a hotel villa style and the in house deco is so superb with designer style furnishing.
- very comfortable room with affordable price. Will recommend to choose the deluxe suite with balcony. Very impressive garden ambience.
