🌱🌱🌱
Sekinchan is a scenically charming village neighbouring to Kuala selangor district. Upon entering to the town, you would definitely be passing by a borderless paddy fields stretched out as far as your eyes can see.
The greenery of the paddy fields appears to be golden brown under the warm sun and the fragrance of the rice greeted us with abundance of positive aura. We felt like being surrounded with a lot of happiness and bountifulness.
Introducing you this amazing valley with the richness in resources from both sea and land.
STAY
1. Farm Ville Homestay
This container stay is located in the centre of paddy fields and do opt for the glass window type of room to have a optimal view of the paddy fields. This is a unique container resort whereby it's featured with a lot of in-house facilities for the guest to utilise whilst enjoying this breathaking view.
There is a small platform on the top floor of the container for Sun Rise watching, and other facilities include wading pool, trampoline, photo booth, and a balcony overlooking the paddy fields.
Personally, I very much enjoyed the upper deck platform, I sat down at an inclined chair in a silent night, facing the paddy fields, with a star lit sky above me, the wind gently tap on face, and I was gazing the milky way above me. What a fantastic retreat !
2. Paddy box
This is the 2nd hotel that we stayed in sekinchan. It's also located in the core of paddy fields. Literally, you're surrounded by all the rice plants and paddies, feasting your nose with mild oats scent the whole day long.
This home stay is very adorable, it looks like a dwarf house with a lot of magical decor. Every container room is in miniature size and it comes with a reading/game room facility with enchanting decor.
If you come in a group, you may utilise their BBQ facility and do grilling in a windy & cool weather with the complement of panaroma paddy fields view. I would recommend this stay to you as this is the only experience you could have through the living within the paddy and free from any hustle-bustle . Your only companion would be birds chirping around and the still scarecrows.
There are also bicycles for rent. You can be cycling around the pathway within the compound of paddy fields, this is where a real *kampung life* being defined.
It's peacefully beautiful ! Highly recommended.
Location : Paddy Box
Jalan Tali Air 4, Kampung Parit Empat
Cost : RM 100 - RM 200 per night
3. Paddy fields
Paddy field is the trademark of sekinchan. You can walk into the paddy fields and feast your camera craves on this beautiful scenery. The paddies appear to be golden brown and vibrant green under the sun. And it perfectly contrast with the deep blue alike sky and the fluffy clouds.
You can freely posture for your most fancy move & lovely silhouette or even a Grouphy, Selphy or couple shot. It's a perfect shooting spot. If you're planning for a wedding shots, this will be your most ideal spot.
Loction : Jalan Tepi Sawah
Paddy fields beside the road.
4. Watch Tower in Sekin Resort
Sekinchan is enriched with bunch of natural beauty. One side abounds with paddy crop and another side is fishing village with abundance of seafood harvesting. This is truly a godly land. Locate this Sekin Fishing Resort and there is a watch tower white in colour built within it. The tower is around 20 meter height. You may climb up to the top floor and enjoy a astonishing ocean view. I would suggest to visit around setting time, the sun setting is indescribably awesome!

5. Pantai Redang
This is one of the tourism spot that you may spend time with your kids and families in sekinchan. It's located by the shore. There are some common playgrounds and resting equipments for common use. There're also some food stalls selling some local delicacies like cendol, rojak, crackers to ease your hunger and thirst.
The most eye catching is a tree hung with thousands of red ribbons. That's a wishing tree beside a temple. You may buy a ribbon with small token and write your wish in it and toss it up to hook on to the tree's branches. And it will make your wishes come true.
For elderly, pick a sheltered place and sitting down under a tree for a meditation. It's so restful!
Location : 25, Jalan Jpt Sekinchan
Cost : Free unless food expenses
6. Rice Mill Factory
Walking into the paddy fields, you would notice there is a huge standalone factory. That's rice mill factory. They provide you a tour on paddy processes, and showing you the journey of turning the paddy to the edible rice. It's indeed a lengthy journey. Morale of the story is educating people to avoid rice wastage.
You can also buy some locally produced rice, it's ranging from many different kind of rices. Such as brown rice, japanese rice and etc. We're proud of our production. Support buatan Malaysia!

7. Ah Ma @ (家) Jia
Along the paddies fields, there is an archaic cottage with a mini colourful windmill fixed in front of the gate. That's called Ah Ma's home. Believe that this used to be a living house but now it has been turned into a commercial lot for selling some local cookies, snacks and souvenirs. When you shop around in this place, there are also some exhibitions on the old timer household equipments used by our ancestors in past era. It's quite an interesting small museum.
Try some home baked bahulu cake. They're just too scrumptious.
Location: Pekan Sekinchan.
Special Highlights: Old timer equipment exhibition, Bahulu cake
FOOD
8. Fried noodles (unknown stall) under a tree
There is an open concept Chinese restaurant under a tree with no visible sign board. The only trait to recognise this stall is through a very small and unnoticeable card board stated 嘻记.
This food stall is the local people choice and although it's at the hidden corner, it's always flooded with crowds especially dinner time. The signatures are the fried hokkien noodles and deep fried Mantis Prawn.
Charcoal hot stir fries traditional method produces super aroma and smoky scent.
Worth to try.

Highlight : Mantis Prawn, Fried Noodles.
9. Wins restaurant ( 囍运小食坊)
Personally, I like the hand pull noodles from this restaurant. Other than noodles, they're also serving other desserts like ABC, beverages, coffee, toast and other snacks. The restaurant is air-conditioned and you can dine in comfortably here. Hand pull noodles (面粉粿) here is very home cooked alike. Besides slippery and smooth, the soup base is very authentic. You can taste the essence of anchovies after hours of boiling the soup.
Location : No.5E, Ground Floor Shop Lot, Jalan Malinja, Kg Site B, Sekinchan.
Time : 7am - 11pm
10. Sefood Restaurant - Wan Lau

All seafoods are freshly caught daily and you will be able to taste the lively cooked seafoods and feasted with the most tenderness and succulent sea precious.
They're many seafood restaurant within sekinchan town. I personally prefer this restaurant Seafood Wan Lau. Their cooking style is scrumptious and with optimal wok fragrance. When the chef cloak on the wok cap, the live seafood is slowly cooked under piping hot stir fries. It's so tempting !
Location : 182 Jalan SG. Labu, Taman Seri Sekinchan.
Highlight : Baby Squid, Lala & salted egg prawns.
11. Bus Cafe
The concept of this cafe is rather unique and extraordinary. From far, it seems like a giant BUS hanging in the air. All of us having the experience of boarding bus, but probably not dining in the bus with half hanging in the air. This bus cafe is located in the centre of paddy fields, next to paddy box hotel.
During the hot sunny day, this cafe is flooded with diners as everyone is dying for an ice blended drinks for relieving the summer heat. There're other western style foods to be ordered too.

12. Cha Po Tian Seafood Restaurant
Came a cross this seafood restaurant near to Pantai Redang. It has been gaining a very good rating from the food blogger. So decided to give it a try.
Indeed, the food was really satisfying. Besides the waiting time was a little bit long, I've no other negative comments.
We've ordered a Fu Yong Egg which was basically a fried egg stuffed with minced pork and prawns, a fried squid with finely coated batter, and a signature dish (bitter gourd bihun soup with grouper fish sliced. Everything served in a fair portion and the taste was rreallysuperb.
Most importantly, it costed only RM 45 for all including 2 sugar cane juices and one rice. Very reasonable.
